Awards for nine Buckinghamshire residents were announced today in His Majesty King Charles III’s New Year Honours List. These men and women have been recognised for their outstanding work in supporting key services and communities, across the fields of sport, journalism and broadcasting, animation and visual effects, health and public service, as well as championing charities and voluntary services and giving service to local communities.

His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, The Countess Howe, said:

“I am delighted for the Buckinghamshire residents recognised with an award today.

We are privileged to be home to a number of diverse and gifted individuals who work tirelessly to improve the lives of our residents and the wider population of this nation. It affords me immense pride that their achievements have been recognised.  I applaud them all and thank them for their admirable commitment and dedication.”

Lady Howe added: “I would encourage everyone to consider whether they know of an individual whom they might nominate for a national honour. There are many unsung heroes continually going above and beyond in our communities, for whom national recognition would be a fitting way of recognising their contribution.  The Buckinghamshire Lieutenancy Office can provide guidance on how to make a nomination.”
